Wood Plastic Composite (WPC) Vinyl
What is WPC Vinyl?
WPC vinyl is a composite material made of thermoplastics, calcium carbonate adn wood flour. It is waterproof with a rigid core and hard textured vinyl surface layer.
How does WPC vinyl differ from vinyl planks and looselay planks?
WPC vinyl can go over most subfloors with very little preparation. The rigid core hides many imperfections in the subfloor. WPC vinyl is also able to be installed directly over timber and particleboard. Whereas vinyl planks are directly stuck to the subfloor, WPC vinyl is installed with a glueless locking system. This means it is far easier to install, especially for the DIY home renovator.
How does WPC vinyl differ from laminate?
WPC vinyl is waterproof and suitable for wet areas where laminate is not advisable. WPC vinyl, muck like vinyl planking has a stain and scratch resistant wear layer that protects the flooring from wear and tear.
